Glow – our public websites

Last updated: 01 July 2018

We know that you care how information about you is used and shared. We appreciate your trust and want you to feel confident in our services and security as it relates to your personal information. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting, subscribing to and using Glow you accept this policy.

What information does Glow gather?

The information you provide us with helps us personalise and continually improve your experience in using Glow. We may collect specific personal and contact information from you through your registration and profile in Glow, including your name and email address. In addition we may capture general profile information including your age, suburb and gender.

We may store information you enter through our mobile applications, website, electronic, and other media to enable us to provide our services to you and to perform analysis of our performance through time, even if you do not register with Glow. We won’t disclose this personal information to third parties unless required to do so to perform our services, for example to carry out service-related communications.

Which information can I Access?

Glow gives you access to a broad range of information about your account and your interactions with us for the limited purpose of viewing and, in certain cases, updating that information. This information can be found on our website, or by contacting us via privacy@glowfeed.com

Deleting your information

Your rights to request that we delete your account and all linked information are not affected by the terms of this policy. If you want to leave us, we’ll be sorry to see you go but can delete your information by sending us a request via privacy@glowfeed.com.

Automatic information

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our technologies. For example, like many web sites, we sometimes use “cookies”. Cookies are alphanumeric identifier text files that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser between visits. For security purposes Glow sometimes collects and analyses the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, and to our website. This is done for your protection, for tracking purposes, in the unlikely event that someone gains access to your personal information and opens an account under your name.

E-mail communications

To help us make e-mails more productive, and to improve your experience, we may periodically send you newsletters relating to our services and products, notifications of changes to our policies, and information about new businesses who have subscribed to our service.

Does Glow share the information it receives?

We never share your personal or contact information with third party vendors, associates, service providers or other Glow users unless such information is required to perform our services or you have provided explicit (or opt in) consent to do so. An example of this would be if you wish to redeem rewards through a partner program. In this instance we may need to provide your name and rewards member number to the third party rewards team in order to ensure your details are valid and to complete the transaction. No additional information will be shared with the rewards partner other than that which is necessary to complete the transaction. Another example would be to receive or reply to communications. In this example a third party email service will be used to deliver your communications. Our third party email system is currently Hubspot.

We make anonymous general profile information available to Subscribers at an aggregate level only. This allows organisations subscribing to Glow to understand their customers’ needs better without giving away your personal information or identity, and allows you to benefit from providing feedback through our service.

How secure is information about me?

We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you provide to us. It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your mobile device or computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer by tapping the “log out” link.

Terms of Use, Policies and Revisions

If you choose to use Glow, your use and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Use, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the state of our local state. If you have any questions about the personal information used and collected on Glow, please make a request to us via privacy@glowfeed.com.

Our business changes constantly, and our Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use may change also. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Notice applies to all information that we have about you and your account. We stand behind the promises we make, however, and will never materially change our policies and practices to make them less protective of information collected in the past without the consent of affected users.

Does Glow share the information it receives?

We respect your privacy and appreciate your custom. At no time do we ever provide your account contact information to any third party vendor, associate or service provider unless it is required to deliver our services to you or if you have explicitly requested we do so.

We are here to connect businesses with consumers directly. Where a consumer has initiated feedback and has requested that we send it to a business directly, the content of that communication will remain private between the consumer and the business. We will not share your feedback with any other organisation at any time. In the course of processing your communications we do use third party services to deliver, measure and improve the services. These third parties include (but not limited to):

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Mandrill by Mailchimp
  • Google Analytics

From time to time, to support our research and reports , we may use your aggregate data to provide insights into general consumer sentiment in your industry or market vertical. This will not include any:

  • Individual feedback messages or personal information
  • Business-specific performance metrics (crowd size, crowd profile, feedback ratings etc)
  • Decipherable business information that can be traced back to your business

An example of this is a market review for a given service segment (eg. Health & Beauty). We may publish segment-specific results for a segment in which your business participates. For example, we may state that Health & Beauty sentiment in Victoria has continued to increase over the last quarter ahead of our expectations to a new average level of 78%. These will at no time be disaggregated or the raw data behind the results published or resold.
